The Internet and Fellowship

Image
For a long time I thought I was alone.  People who understood the entire Bible was true and applicable today, were so very few and far in-between. This was at the beginning of the Internet, all I was exposed to was email, chat rooms, My Space lol, and some individual websites. I, at least, had contact with a couple of patient teachers. The internet, blessing and curse, made the world smaller and more complicated at the same time. The internet showed that this faith, which considers the Torah to be instructions for discipleship and life, was growing. And with growth came the wolves, false prophets, and every kind of deceiver imaginable.   I am so thankful for my friends. After a lifetime of acquaintances crossing my path, I can count my true friends on one hand. Sometimes this faith walk of the Natsarim is lonely. I suspect that's the wilderness part. Thank goodness for the internet for education and fellowship. I have good Christian friends right here in my commun...

Granny T's Story

Image
Once upon a time, long ago right here in this galaxy, I was just a young mom, trying to raise the children and maintain a household while poor. We were not homeless poor, we were poor enough to qualify for government insurance for the children, but not poor enough to keep it if my husband made an extra $50 one month. And that's where I found myself when my journey began to natural, organic, homeopathic healing and lifestyle.   So three kids, ages 6, 9, and 12, all sick with the croup, no insurance because my husband got a much deserved raise, and no money. I was standing in the pharmacy isle desperately seeking something over the counter that could help. The kids really needed an antibiotic to help them kick this crap.  I must have been crying, the pharmacist approached me cautiously, " Are you ok? Need some help?" Such compassion, I'll never forget her.  I told her my situation. "I'm not supposed to give you this information,  but you can get a strong, a...

A Season of Testing

Image
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who  have been called according to his purpose.   My go-to verse, the first one that pops into my head when troubles arise. No matter what it looks like, Yah will bring it around to benefit me somehow.  He said it, I believe it, that settles it, right? His promises will come to pass, and His word will not come back void. These are the things we remind ourselves of when the storms of life come rolling in.  Well, I say, "buckle up Buttercup, we are in for a time of testing". Yahusha is coming for a pure bride. Just as Esther went through a period of purification before her presentation to the king, so shall we.  1 Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. Thi...

A Good Wife

Image
Proverbs 31:10 Who does find a capable wife? For she is worth far more than rubies. 11The heart of her husband shall trust her, And he has no lack of gain. 12She shall do him good, and not evil, All the days of her life.   Proverbs 31 doesn't stop there when proclaiming the qualities of a good wife. It is a good place to start, but let's add verses 30 and 31 for good measure. The very words I'd give as good counsel to every young woman who would listen.  30Loveliness is deceptive And prettiness is vain, A woman who fears יהוה is to be praised. 31Give her of the fruit of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates.   The Holy Scriptures are truly the instructions for a abundant successful life. Passages like the verses of Proverbs 31:10-31 are so detailed and specific. I know, these verses describe a standard that seems too lofty to obtain, yet we know if Yah presents it, He also provides for it. This is where our "I can do all things thru Messia...
