A Season of Testing

Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

My go-to verse, the first one that pops into my head when troubles arise. No matter what it looks like, Yah will bring it around to benefit me somehow.  He said it, I believe it, that settles it, right? His promises will come to pass, and His word will not come back void. These are the things we remind ourselves of when the storms of life come rolling in.

Well, I say, "buckle up Buttercup, we are in for a time of testing". Yahusha is coming for a pure bride. Just as Esther went through a period of purification before her presentation to the king, so shall we.

1 Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Our Bibles have passages after passages warning us that this walk we've chosen to live out has trials and tribulations. These are used for our purifying. Remember: all things are used for our good" . So many times we are enduring difficulties not of our own making. We have been trained to be defiant to what feels unfair. Yet, these very tests yield the greatest return. I'm trying to present a "chin-up, lean into it" attitude towards these trials, asking. "Yah, Abba, what are you teaching me in this? Please open my eyes to see, and my ears to hear what You have for me."

Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Brothers and Sisters,  Yahusha promises to return, and that time is near. The trials, testing, tribulations, and purification processes are upon us. I'd advise us all to lean into it.

Revelation 2:10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Revelation 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.[b]13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow.
