Talking with a Friend

Earlier in the day I was visiting with a friend.  And as friends do, we were talking, and as Believers do, we talked about topics of faith. So I was just sitting here, in my evening down time, going over our conversations. Keeping the 7th day Sabbath, and the other Appointed Times have been our frequent go-to topics lately.  Me, being a long time Sabbath keeper, and she, is asking questions and trying to figure it out. As usual, hours later, I can come up with several "should have said" thoughts.

In marriages, frequently one learns something, then later the spouse comes along side. In the discovery of The Way, this situation happens more often than not. The key is to be unwavering in what you've been convicted/convinced is right and true. As strong women of faith we will find a way to walk that line of obedience to Yah and honor to our husband. This is crucial, so be careful, it's a delicate balance when the husband is resistant or less than enthusiastic about the changes they are seeing in us and the level of obedience we are showing to The Word. The husband should never question his wife's devotion to him as well as Yah. It's so much easier when the husband is just as excited about getting to the truth. Yet Yah uses these challenges to grow and refine us.

We only want the truth. Theses truths mean change, and we've inherited lies.

Jeremiah 16:19 O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. Read all of Jeremiah

A great multitude of Christiandom is comprised of people from other nations, not Israel. Once we are adopted into the family of Yahuah through the redemptive work of Yahusha, we are Israel, no longer "of the other nations". The mark of belonging to Yahuah, Most High, is keeping the Sabbath. Yes, all obedience to the Word is a witness to our faith. But Yah is specific about the Sabbath. Could it be that, believers or not, their inherited lies and traditions kept them from the real inheritance? Looks like they do recognize what the truth is and come to Yah. When the Spirit pricks your heart, pay attention. Just because you've been a Christian all your life doesn't mean you won't be shown a new thing. Actually we should expect it, especially if we're seeking more from Yah. We know the example of the five virgins being left out, and the people who cried out Lord Lord, the people invited to the wedding feast and yet weren't included. Many warnings of believers who will not be in the Kingdom.  Terrifying thought, which is why I continue to press and ask questions.

Exodus 31:13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy. (Ezekiel 20:12, Isiah 58:13-14, Mark 2:27, Deuteronomy 5:14-15. Leviticus 23:3)

Christians are taught from very young about the mark of the beast,  but never about the mark of Yahuah.  Why is that? If you have the mark of Yah, you don't need to worry about the other.

In addition, I would say to my friend: be patient and steadfast, studious and prayerful, be excited to show your husband what a blessing the Sabbath is. Careful planning on prep day can make your Sabbath experience restful, peaceful, refreshing and more.

I'm here to help if needed, blessings on your Sabbath journey.

Still a work in progress
