Come Out of Babylon

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Like all followers of Yahusha/Jesus, from my generation, I look for hints and instructions regarding His second coming in the Holy Scriptures.  We want to be ready, right? And we'd like to avoid the coming destruction if we can. Revelation 18 is where we find that familiar phrase we heard firmly proclaimed from the pulpit growing up in church, "come out of her my people". Revelation 18 is describing "end times" events regarding the second coming. It speaks of the destruction of Babylon, and Yah's people are warned. Warned to "come out, so as to not be partakers of Babylon's sin and her destruction". He wouldn't warn His people for no reason.

There are numerous ideas of exactly who, where, or what is Babylon.  Go back a chapter to Revelation 17, and we get a poetic detailed description of Babylon. When poetic language is used in scripture, I think of it as a road map. I look for other passages that use the same terms and phrases. The language used in Revelation 17 and 18 mirror the language in Ezekiel 23. Coincidence? Maybe.

Fornication, blasphemy, and abomination are used to describe Babylon's sins. We see she is drunk on the blood of the saints and martyrs. She also will war against the Lamb- rebellion. Ok, so who is killing saints and making martyrs? Who hates The Lamb of Yah?  Fornication is worship of other gods, blasphemy is speaking against The Most High, but what about abomination? Proverbs 6:16-19 can give us clues.

Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things the Lord hates,

Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:

 A proud look,

A lying tongue,

Hands that shed innocent blood,

A heart that devises wicked plans,

Feet that are swift in running to evil,

A false witness who speaks lies,

And one who sows discord among brethren.

Unfortunately that sounds like most politicians. It's a difficult thing to desire to be proud of your country when your leaders and representatives behave so shamefully. Democracy shouldn't mean a nation compromise it's morality, but it has. It's a struggle to have any faith in the system. It is not just broken, it's crushed, and many pieces are unrepairable. Regardless of who is in office the evil continues. Red, blue, left, right, neither choice makes anything better. Only serving to divide us, or sow discord. Come out of her.

These elected officials talk a good talk till after election. The mask comes off and they make decisions against the will of the people who voted for them. It feels like a game, or a nasty joke. If I voted for that person who, once in office, turns their back on their word and does evil, am I responsible? Am I partaking in their sin? Will I then partake in their destruction as well?

Who, what, or where is Babylon? It's everyone, everything, everywhere that doesn't submit to the will of The Most High. You will know by the fruit. Again I ask, who is killing saints/followers of Yahusha? Who hates Yahusha and would war against Him? Who is full of pride? Who celebrates fornication? Who blasphemes the name of Yahusha/Jesus? Who is lying to us? Who is killing the innocent? Who devises wicked plans? Who is quick to do evil? Who tells lies about others? Who creates discord and division amongst the people? Pray, then watch your mainstream news, look around, perhaps Yah will reveal it to you. Come out of her.

Still a work in progress
