We Wrestle Not Against Flesh and Blood

 

One cannot turn on any news website or social media without seeing the warning that war is imminent.  Mostly, as Americans, we can put these threats of war out of our minds, and continue our day. Why? Well, war has not been at our front door since the American Civil War. War is continuously happening,  just somewhere else on the earth. 

Unless you've served in the military,  it's likely, as an American, you don't give much thought to the devastation of war. How many innocent people die or are maimed? How many people are moved from their homes and families? How many people's lives are upended because someone with power wants war? Our mainstream media will not report accurately on war, it feels more like propaganda. Independent journalists who do show us the reality are quickly silenced. We are only shown what those people in power want us to see. Keeping us ignorant is a powerful tool. 

Who exactly are these powerful people who want war? We can name the world leaders who seem to be in charge, but are they really in charge? Are they taking orders from someone higher? I think so.  Let me explain.  We learn from Ephesians 6:12, that we aren't wrestling again flesh and blood: people. We are warring (as a soldier in Yah's army) against powers, principalities (authorities), against evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realm. And if you go back to the 1560 Geneva Bible, you will see that worldly governments are included in this list of who is the enemy. * see photo above*  I'm sure it's no coincidence that the word "government" was left out of future translations.  Especially King James, I'm sure he didn't want the masses to see His governance as the enemy. No doubt.  

In Daniel 10:13 we see a small insight into these "powers and principalities in high places". Yah set up heavenly beings as Princes or governors over us. Clearly some of them are evil. If not, then why would this Prince of Persia in the Daniel story try to stop a messenger of Yah from delivering a message from Yah? These Princes were appointed over us just like the Watchers were appointed over mankind in The Book of Enoch and briefly mentioned in Genesis as Sons of God. Perhaps these Watchers are one and the same as the Prince of the Kingdom of Persia in the Book of Daniel. If not surely they are similar.  

When I connect the dots I see our flesh and blood leaders being controlled or influenced by the evil spiritual entities who were appointed over us,  to bring about the destruction the evil one desires. It's been an ongoing war since the Garden of Eden. We gotta know when Yah set these entities over us His plan was good.  Since the other Heavenly beings were given free will, the same as us, some chose to rebel against The Most High. This spiritual war is still ongoing, and will till Yahusha/ Jesus returns to claim His Kingdom.  We must hold fast to the Promises of Yah, especially His promise of our Savior...Yahusha: The Salvation of YHVH. 

Now when you see the people in power demanding war, remember even though they have a plan, the will of The Most High is superior, and will prevail.  I've included a really good video link (copy and paste in your search bar) that gives more info than this short blog post. 

Blessed are You YHVH, may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Blessed are You Yahusha/Jesus, our Savior, our Redeemer, our King.

Something is Askew

  On June 13th I woke up with a gut feeling I haven't been able to dismiss. At first it was something I "felt" but couldn't see. It was in my peripheral vision. Like a word on the tip of your tongue, but you just can't recall it. It was a few hours before I was aware of Israel moving against Iran. But knowing what happened didn't dismiss that feeling of something wasn't right.  I hear voices from all sides, yet none of those give me comfort. Today is the 17th and things are happening quite quickly.  Clearly many things are askew, but still the gut feeling persists. I sense there is a trick I must watch out for. When our focus is in one area, screwy stuff is happening elsewhere.  I know my Rock,  Yahusha, and I'm not afraid,  but I feel like I'm being cautioned.  Feelings don't really account for much overall, they can ebb and flow as the tide, change like the wind. One-Liner Verses

I have noticed how we, as Bible believing Christians, are quick with one-liner verses. We have scripture memorized, stored in our hearts, and freely throw them into conversation. Sometimes very much out of context. "he who is without sin, cast the first stone", "judge not", "don't let anyone judge you by what you eat, or drink", "I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me". Each of these phrases, and many others like them,  show up in specific stories, with specific meaning for that situation. Not to be thrown into any and every conversation. Yet it happens. I have also noticed how, many of us, as Bible believing Christians, operate under the assumption that each word written in Scripture is directed to  us. Not true. These words were many times for specific people, under specific circumstances, with a specific purpose.
