At the end of February I broke my arm. This put me in a position to have an unplanned vacation for two months. During this time my husband also had a surgery. So here we are, stuck at home, recooperating together, limited in what we can do. So we binge watched tv. "Vikings" and "The Last Kingdom" are two of the programs we enjoyed.
This morning as I was driving to work I was thinking about the Danes and how they were portrayed in these programs. The wanton indiscriminate slaughter as they raped and pillaged their way thru England really struck me. As I'm thinking about this, I'm also listening to "Redacted" on my phone tell me how many fighting age men have illegally crossed our Southern border. Of course we don't really know how many, the number given was an estimate, but it's into multiple millions.
Many concerns have been voiced concerning these "migrants" and what we don't know. This is what I do know. Yah is indeed in control. He is ultimately responsible for these border crossers being here. We can blame JB, and rightfully so, but don't forget the promises Yah has made and that He will bring His will to pass. Our country is corrupt and far from Yah. The Great and Dreadful Day of YHVH is a time of darkness for those in direct path of His wrath. Just like the Christians in England were not promised they wouldn't endure carnage, we may likely endure darkness around us. The promise isn't that we are to be protected from any harm to these earthly bodies, but that He will never leave us, we will not endure alone, and will be resurrected to eternal life.
It's possible that our fears concerning the influx of people who don't have our best interest at heart will come true. The Creator has a plan. Hold tight to His promises. Hold on like Daniel, hold on like Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego, hold on like Isaiah, hold on like Abraham, hold on like the Apostles. Hold on. Your redemption draws near.
