Light Expels Darkness
Should you ask around in a Christian community, “What brought you to Yahusha(Jesus)?” You will get a variety of answers. Ask enough and you will hear of stories much like your own.
Though I have known Him since I was a little girl, I haven't been as faithful to the relationship as He has. Going my own way, being my own god, didn't usually pan out the best consequences. When circumstances brought pain, misery, and despair I always fell to my knees seeking Him whom I knew still loved me. The one who made all those beautiful promises written in His Holy Word was still faithful. In those moments, full abandonment, full disclosure of those deep hidden things I can't stand to look upon, is the only way to redemption and healing. When I can clearly see my part in the circumstances and take responsibility I can grow.
Our Bibles, The Holy Inspired Word of Yahuah, is Yah's instructions for life and life abundant. He loves us and instructs us in what is good for us, and sets boundaries against what is not good for us. He's our father. I can clearly see when I study His word that many of my problems came from not knowing or doing what He instructed me to do. I could have saved myself a boatload of grief if I had just cared more to know Him and His ways.
Seems like people who get serious about their relationship with Yah, and the salvation He provided thru Yahusha are those in a desperate, dark, alone place. Circumstances brought on by others or even themselves, it doesn't matter. Darkness is still darkness. The good news is, and why these people tend to get serious, is because they realize they can choose His ways going forward. And reap the good consequences. And when others bring the pain, Yahusha will carry them thru it. The darkness is only expelled by The Light, The Word.
This relationship with Yah is an interactive relationship. If you want more, ask for more. But be ready for change. Even though Yah accepts us as we come to Him, He's not willing to leave us that way. He's going to make you like Yahusha if you'll let him. But, like any gentleman, He will not force Himself on you. Some folks are content with a superficial kind of faith. We call it “buying the fire insurance”. They don't want to go to Hell, but are not willing to give their all to Him either. They always maintain their own sovereignty over their lives, never really fully committed. If they are lucky, they will experience darkness. Everyone reaches for light when they find themselves in the dark.
The more you read, and pray for Truth and understanding, the more you'll know, the better path you can choose. It's a growing process for most people, Discipleship. We follow Yahusha to learn His ways and copy them. Not one of us will get it all perfectly right while in this flesh, it's practice for when He gives us our Spirit immortal bodies with His Torah written on our hearts. At that point we won't need to ask, we'll know it, and desire to do it.
In closing I want to encourage you to run the race to win. Seek Yah with all your being. Ask for more, ask for Truth. Seek Him while He is to be found. When we stand before judgment on the Day of Atonement, we will stand alone. No one, but Yahusha has your back and your salvation. We will be held accountable for every word and deed that falls short of Yahuah’s perfect will for our lives. Putting your faith in Yahusha is your only firm foundation, everything else is sinking sand.
